The four-corner model

How an e-invoice travels through Peppol

Peppol runs on a four-corner model: the supplier (C1) hands the e-invoice to its Access Point (C2), which delivers it over the Peppol network to the recipient’s Access Point (C3), and from there it reaches the buyer (C4). Verteco operates its own certified Access Point, so for its clients it acts as C2 when sending and as C3 when receiving. The fifth corner (C5) is the Finančná správa SR, which receives the TDD tax report from the Access Points.

C1

The supplier issues the e-invoice in their own system.

C2

The sender’s Access Point. For our clients this is Verteco: our own AP certified by the Finančná správa SR (EFSK000031, Seat ID PSK001128).

C3

The recipient’s Access Point delivers the invoice to the buyer. If you receive through us, Verteco acts as C3 too.

C4

The buyer receives the e-invoice in their own system.

C5

The Finančná správa SR as the fifth corner: it receives the TDD tax report from both C2 and C3.

  1. 1

    Create an account

Just an email and a password: no installation and no lock-in to us. The account is free and unlocks the whole portal.

  2. 2

Select us on the Finančná správa SR portal

Sign in with eID (slovensko.sk) to confirm Verteco as your digital postman. Your company is created for you automatically and registered as a Peppol network participant. There is nothing else to do. One account handles multiple companies and clients.

  3. 3

    Receive e-invoices

Invoices from suppliers land directly in your overview and in your inbox (PDF + original XML). We prepare the receiving-side Slovak tax report (TDD/C5) automatically and submit it to the Finančná správa SR as soon as it opens its receiving interface.

  4. 4

    Send e-invoices

Issue an invoice through the dashboard or the REST API. The portal delivers it to the recipient over the Peppol network, with a delivery confirmation (MLS receipt).

What runs behind the scenes

So you never have to worry about Peppol’s technical details or the legislation.

Document validation

We check received documents server-side against EN 16931 and Peppol BIS Billing 3.0; when sending, the same validation is available through the portal and the API, so you catch errors before delivery.

Automatic tax reporting

We generate the TDD / C5 report automatically and submit it to the Finančná správa SR as soon as it opens its receiving interface (expected during 2026, per the tax authority). You don’t have to do anything extra.

Our own Access Point

Documents never pass through resellers or a foreign gateway: we operate our own Peppol AP certified by the Finančná správa SR (Seat ID PSK001128, EFSK000031), hosted in the EU. For you that means a lower price, support in Slovak, and data kept in the EU.

Freedom, no lock-in

Communication runs on the open Peppol standard. Your company ID is a portable network participant. You can move to another Access Point at any time, and we will export your data. No locked-in formats and no exit penalties.

Prefer to leave it to us? Managed onboarding
