Exactly where your data are
Invoices are legally binding tax documents, so “somewhere in the cloud” is not an answer for us. The documents, original XML files, database and backups of the Verteco Peppol service are stored in the European Union, in the data centre of our infrastructure provider at Hanauer Landstrasse 298, 60314 Frankfurt am Main. It is one of the best-connected data campuses in Europe and also hosts the core of the DE-CIX internet exchange.

What this means for you
- All processing, including the delivery of e-mail notifications, runs in the EU; details and the list of sub-processors are in the privacy policy.
- The contractual guarantees (a DPA under Art. 28 GDPR, an SLA with measured availability) are available in full at /zmluvy.
- We hand over the original XML of every document stored in the Data archive (on by default for new companies) when the cooperation ends; no lock-in.
